Experience charming castles, beautiful nature, small local micro-producers, and the footprints of Hans Christian Andersen.
The Fairytale Island of Denmark – Funen
This is Funen (Fyn), only a 1½ hour’s drive from Copenhagen, the fairytale island of Denmark. The island offers Bridge walking, sailing the Odense River, and RIB boat adventure to the archipelago with lunch or dinner at a small exclusive island.
Furthermore, Funen also hosts a lot of small craftsmen because of their inspiring nature. You can find designer hats, ceramics, and sculptures. Moreover, the local chefs also find inspiration for their cooking. Thus, you will discover many local delicacies like cheese, honey, and beer, and many farm shops sell their products to our groups. The island is ideally explored in self-drive vintage cars and a vintage theme dinner can be arranged at one of the castles.
The South Funen archipelago can be reached by boat or a chartered schooner. In addition, we can arrange great walks and bicycle programs with local guides.
The old town of Odense
In the city of Odense, you will experience the charming old town where Hans Christian Andersen was born. The Fairy Tale storytelling will take you through Odense. Additionally, the day tour program also includes Egeskov Castle. The castle has the best historic garden in Europe. Moreover, it offers a lot of facilities for team challenges and special Dinners can be organized for up to 1.000 people.
Alternatively, the Holkenhavn castle is known for its Ghost Dinners. Furthermore, in Faaborg the Nightwatchmen will do a guided sunset tour. Finally, the day could end with dinner there or back in Odense centre at the training workshop among vintage trains or the Warehouse at Odense Harbour.
Funen can be reached on a day tour from Copenhagen or with a 2-night stay in Odense or at one of the castles. Groups can stay overnight at the charming Hvedholm castle. Additionally, smaller exclusive groups can stay at the Falsled Inn. It is a Michelin Star restaurant.
It is a great destination to combine with Copenhagen for incentive groups or as an add-on to Conferences. The cities Odense, Nyborg, and Svendborg are also ideal for meetings with up to 1.000 persons.
