Ovation Sweden DMC has created new programmes with the base in the arctic town of Luleå, the gateway to Lapland. Only a one-hour flight from Stockholm, the adventure starts already at the airport. We go straight to the activities with dog sledging, where you will get dressed properly for the cold weather. We go sledging a couple of hours and stop en route for local Sami refreshments. There is a good opportunity to experience a close encounter with the dogs and get an understanding of the Sami lifestyle. Overnight stay at the charming Clarion Sense, where the Spa is waiting. The hotel is known for its local photography art, displayed all over the hotel. Dinner is Arctic Fusion: reindeer meets dumplings.
On Day 2 we will do activities like Ice Driving, where you get to experience your own driving skills on an ice track. We will also use the vicinity to the Sea and go on an Icebreaker Cruise.
Day 3: we will visit the old town of Gammelstad, where you will get a good idea of the arctic past in an interactive way. After a historic lunch, we move back up in time and finish the activity programme with more driving, this time on snowmobiles, where you can improve your driving skills in a completely different way. You will learn it quickly and get into your competitive mood. The final Dinner will be on ICE and under the Northern Light. Local specialities, hot wine and cold arctic beer. What a way to finish your arctic experience!
