THE NEW LARVOTTO SEASIDE AREA
A long-awaited re-opening!
On Saturday 3 July, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince officially inaugurated the new Larvotto seaside complex at a ceremony attended by several well-known Monegasque personalities. This summer, residents and visitors alike can now enjoy a much bigger public beach, a stunning new promenade, and the return of the area’s “historic” shops.
The new-look seaside complex is perfect for all ages. It counts on a shaded promenade and fully renovated beach offering local tourists the opportunity to make the most of the waterfront, take a dip in the Mediterranean and soak up the Riviera sun. And while you relax by the water, you can grab a bite to eat at La Rose des Vents, Le Neptune, La Note Bleue, or Le Miami. Or just cool off with ice cream from Mullot’s in the shade. Along the lower promenade, you’ll find restaurants, a diving school, a lifeguard station, and various shops.
This is the perfect place for everyone to relax. For over ten years, the beach at Larvotto has been Handi-plage-certified, an official label created in collaboration with the association Soroptimist. The site is accessible for the disabled and those with reduced mobility, ensuring everyone can enjoy the sun, sand, and sea.
Whether as a family, a couple or with friends, head to Larvotto for a taste of the authentic Monegasque seaside experience.

All-Natural Essence of Monaco
L’Orangerie Monte-Carlo is an all-natural liqueur with no added colorants or preservatives. It is the creation of an Irish businessman, Philip Culazzo, who has lived there locally for the last seven years. He wanted to tap into Monaco’s little-known history as a thriving agricultural centre. Cultivation and trade of fruits were once the mainstay of the local economy.
Beyond the glamour of world-famous boutiques and casinos, Monaco is also famous for its citrus. There are 600 citrus fruit trees that provide the bounty of citrus that go into L’Orangerie’s refreshing liqueurs. The trees produce between 10 and 15 tons of fruit annually, which is traditionally used in marmalade and orange wine. Mr. Culazzo made a deal with the government to recuperate the huge number of oranges that are leftover, thus saving them from wasteful disposal and transforming them into a product that locals can be proud of.
