It’s an exciting time for Dublin- new experiences, bars and restaurants are popping up frequently across the City Centre further developing Dublin as a fantastic destination for wining, dining and entertaining.

Lets us take you through a few of our favorite new hotspots!

The Ivy Dawson Street

A sister property of the celebrity favourite and beloved London venue, The Ivy Dawson Street opened its doors for the first time this summer. It’s been Dublin’s most anticipated restaurant opening.

The 243-seated restaurant is located close to many top Dublin attractions with the likes of Trinity College, Grafton Street and the National Art Gallery all in walking distance. It’s clever and creative décor and menu makes The Ivy Dawson Street, the 27th property of the Ivy Collection and first outside the UK, a firm new favourite for the Ovation team.

The Grayson

Formally the Residence members clubs, this elite address is housed in a beautifully restored Georgian house on Stephen’s Green has received a huge welcome from locals and tourists alike – The new venue stretches across four levels, with numerous bars, casual dining, corporate events spaces.

A more formal dining experience can be found on the top floor overlooking St. Stephen’s Green. The Grayson is best suited to a light bite to eat or an after-dinner cocktail.

Dublin’s most luxurious bar is a haven like escape in the heart of Dublin’s lively city centre. The designers of the bar wanted to create a 5-star hotel deluxe bar experience, without connection to a hotel. They have achieved just that. 9 Below is a quiet, sophisticated bar with seating for 80 people across the four rooms.

Coming in 2019…

Guinness Gravity Bar Extension

Guinness Storehouse has remained one of the top visitor attractions in Dublin City since opening in 2000 – Last year, it was announced an investment of €16million would be used to extend the Gravity Bar from a capacity of 250 to 550.

Work is underway on the extension which is due for completion in 2019, the completed work will feature an incredible new 360 space connected to the original bar.

Hyatt Centric, The Liberties

There is a lot of fantastic properties extending and developing across the city centre, however, the one which most excites the Ovation team is the development of the first Hyatt Hotel in Ireland.

Construction is currently underway on the €50 million Hyatt Centric Dublin 234 bedroom lifestyle hotel, which will open its doors next to Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral in May, 2019.
