Morning

First, the best way to start the day in Santiago is by watching the pilgrims complete the Camino de Santiago at the Obradoiro square. Then, a visit to the Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage) is a must. Here you can see one of the biggest centers in the world and visit the spectacular Cathedral roof.

Lunch

Furthermore, go for a walk to the Rúa do Franco, a street full of local restaurants. Galicia is well known for its gastronomy such as octopus, seafood, and local cheeses. It is also home to the best tortilla you will ever have due to the high quality of the potatoes. To finish, order the Tarta de Santiago (almond spongecake).

Afternoon

After a satisfying lunch, go to Alameda Park, relax in its beautiful gardens and discover the ‘Two Marias’ statue which hides a true history.

Dinner

“La Tacita de Juan’ (Calle del Hórreo, 31) is a great choice for dinner, traditionally yet local with mouthwatering Galician food! Afterward, go in the direction of the Old Town which is filled with small pubs & cocktail lounges.
