An Inside Tip for Foodies
Each time I receive a visit in Madrid, I always try to show them the amazing local food at Sala de Despiece (C/Ponzano 11). An original concept restaurant with a tapas menu that includes classic dishes like the Strip Steak or their Red Tuna from Murcia. Simply Delicious!!
Mention some vibrant activities to live the city
Depending on the weekend you are coming, you will have different options to live the city to the fullest. Madrid hosts the “Mercado de Motores” at the Ferrocarril Museum (Paseo de las Delicias,61) the 2nd weekend of each month. The mercado offers a vintage market where you can find a variety of products while you enjoy some wine or beer. Additionally, the last weekend of each month, holds the “Mercado de Productores” (Plaza de Legazpi, 8). There you can enjoy local products such as cheese, beers, and meat of Madrid, tasting them in the unique environment that is Matadero Madrid.
Name a breath-taking view in the city
There is no better place to be at sunset than having a cocktail on one of Madrid’s secret terraces. The Hat (Calle Imperial 9), is one of them. This place is situated on a side street just 5-minute walking distance from Plaza Mayor. Moreover, The roof terrace is beautifully designed and has a good choice of tapas and cocktails.
