Ovation Global DMC, Dorier Group, Marriott International, and Switzerland Tourism collaborated closely at IMEX Frankfurt last month for Game-ON. Over 150 attendees made their way to Ommia Restaurant and Bar after day one of IMEX for an evening of networking and the newest technology trends.
The event welcomed hosted buyers from Canada, The United States, Switzerland, and Brazil among other countries. Guests were eager to meet face-to-face once again and spent the evening chatting, eating, and drinking.
Game-ON focused on the metaverse, tech, and gamification in the events industry. Three Virtual Reality stations transported attendees through various immersive experiences. Guests could explore the depths of the ocean, visit various Marriott properties across the world, or battle a co-worker in an upbeat friendly competition.
The evening concluded with the announcement of our special raffles and giveaways. Two lucky attendees won a stay in Switzerland while another guest took home the latest VR headset.
The roaring success of the event signaled the ongoing recovery of the MICE industry on a global scale. Ovation Global DMC hosted its first successful tech event in 2018 during IMEX Frankfurt. After two years of cancellations, Ovation was beyond thrilled to launch its event last month once again.
