Funen, the Fairytale island in Denmark

During this Incentive program, you will experience the charming old town of Odense where Hans Christian Andersen was born. A specially created program with Fairy Tale storytelling will take you through beautiful streets of Odense finishing with a sailing tour on the Odense river with entertainment onboard. The Day Tour program finishes with a visit at Egeskov Castle having the best historic garden in Europe. The Castle has a lot of facilities for team challenges and special Dinners can be organized up to 1.000 persons.

On Day 2 there will be visits to small micro-producers of cheese, vegetables and beer and organized tastings, especially for our groups.

In the charming town of Faaborg, the Nightwatchmen will do a guided tour and there will be a beach lunch, before heading out with Rib-boats or sailing boats to the South Funen archipelago for an afternoon cruise. You will discover the beautiful islands in the archipelago of Funen. The islands that are included in the tour are Lyø, Bjørno and Avernakø.

You find Lyø town and the church with the round cemetery right in the middle of the island. The narrow streets are interspersed with beautiful old half-timbered houses and five village ponds.

Many of the townhouses are from the 18th century. Lyø city is one of the most exciting village environments in Denmark.

The water around Bjørnø attracts both anglers and bathers. There is no actual port on Bjørnø, but a small jetty. Bjørnø is very hilly with a peak of 24 metres above sea level. A large number of duck and waders breed on the beaches and in the marsh in the middle of the island.

Avernakø is known for its Mai tree and Mai rod, which can be seen in Avernak and Munke.

The Dinner will be organized in the Ghost castle of Holkenhavn or at the railway museum after dark in Odense.

On Day 3 there will be time for shopping before heading for an exciting Bridge walk over the “Lillebælt” Sound. Up to 60 metres over the water – and 20 metres over the rails and the cars speeding on the road lanes below you. You will be able to notice the slight shaking of the bridge when a train is rumbling over the bridge. And you will feel the wind in your hair and the sun against your face.

Once you are on top of the bridge, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Lillebælt. During the walk, the guide will tell you about the Old Little Belt Bridge and point out the different sites of interest you can see from the bridge. This is a unique experience that will stay with you forever.
