Bornholm
Bornholm is a Danish island located in the Baltic Sea, and Ovation Denmark DMC has developed a nice incentive program.
It is easy to access with a 30-minute flight or 2½ drive/ferry from Copenhagen. Bornholm in 2019 was rated as no.2 by Condé Nest readers in the category Top Islands in Europe. This island is special and very suitable for incentive groups. In 2-3 days you can explore a great variety of untouched nature and historic sights. Walking in the island’s untouched nature with beautiful rift valleys and raw, rocky cliffs is both relaxing and refreshing.
Activities to do in Bornholm
The Island also offers many activities. Activities for incentive groups include art & craft workshops, food tasting with local micro-producers, and abseiling. Due to the high quality of the island’s arts and crafts, Bornholm has been awarded the prestigious title “World Craft Region”. There is a long tradition within ceramics and glasswork and we will organize craft workshops.
The pretty small towns such as Allinge and Gudhjem and the Hammershus ruins, North Europe’s largest castle ruin, are all worth visiting as each has its charm. Exciting attractions and sights within a short distance illustrate the island’s history. The four-round churches are unique in the World.
Discover the island by going on a boat tour and let the captain show you the stretches of the Coastline the North of Bornholm. During this tour, local organic juices are served while enjoying the stunning view. Try to catch your own Bornholm Herring and get it smoked afterward.
Besides this, Bornholm has more activities to offer. With over 230 km of biking paths, you could go on a bike tour and discover the beautiful landscape or you can do a hiking trip. If you are looking for something more challenging, you can try abseiling the rocky scenery with an amazing view over the Baltic Sea. The island offers many variations to climb or abseil, which makes it exciting and varied all year round!
The Green Solution House is a great place to stay overnight in the middle of nature and all is sustainable. As soon as you put one foot out of the door, nature is right in front of you. Enjoy an organic dinner in their restaurant or use one of their meeting rooms for groups of up to 350 guests.
The island gets the most sunshine of all Denmark and is, therefore, a favourite amongst the Danes, 5 million Danes cannot be wrong – Bornholm is the place to go to!
