An Extraordinary Venue At Belgrade Fortress

The Belgrade Fortress – Kalemegdan, was built as a defensive structure on a ridge overlooking the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers during the period from the 2nd to the 18th century. Today the fortress is a unique museum of the history of Belgrade.

Because of its exceptional strategic importance, a fortification — a Roman castrum — was erected here in the 2nd century AD, as a permanent military camp for the Fourth Flavian Legion.

Kalemegdan, today Belgrade’s most beautiful and largest park, was during the time that the Fortress was Belgrade’s main military stronghold, used to observe and await the enemy in battle.

And, right there, at the top of the fortress, restaurant Kalemegdanska Terasa has found it’s place for all fine dining lovers. Magnificent view over the confluence of two rivers will take your breath away. Restaurant Kalemegdanska Terasa is completely integrated in the fortress ambient.

The Restaurant has 250 seats and another 100 on the open terrace. Apart from the “a la carte” fine dining selection, the restaurant is renowned for organization of high-profile corporate celebrations. Kalemegdanska Terasa is a must, whenever you wish to organize a memorable event.

A place where success is celebrated and new challenges greeted, whether at a smaller meeting or a cocktail for up to 500 persons. Wood, stone, a view of the rivers, the fortress and the most beautiful park in Belgrade.
