Q&A WITH ARTHUR MCGAURAN

Q: What’s your favourite region in Ireland and why?

A: I love Kilkenny – I spent many Summers there and I feel that the atmosphere there is precisely what people expect when they come to Ireland.

Q: What do you do for fun?

A: I love Theatre, both as an audience member, and as a performer – I get a lovely sense of escapism with it!

Q: What is your highlight of this year?

A: Being able to tag on a trip to my sister in Vancouver after meeting lovely clients the week before!

Q: 2019 is coming up, what are you looking forward to?

A: Partnering up with more of my industry friends from hotels and venues around Ireland on sales trips to Europe and the US

A: Friendships, Passion, Travel

Q&A WITH MARIE LAWLOR

Q: What’s your favourite region in Ireland and why?

A: County Kerry. I spent every summer here. I love all of it but especially Dingle. It is so rugged, and picture postcard beautiful. The real old Ireland.

Q: What do you do for fun?

A: I hang out with my 1 and 4-year-old. Katie and Amy are crazy, and I love their quirky ways. They love to sing and dance, so I just watch and laugh

Q: Can you please describe your role?

A: On paper ‘Director of Sales’ – but behind the scenes, I am a proposal writer, budget creator, transport manager, F&B Manager…… This is the world of DMC, we are hands on!!!

Q: 2019 is coming up, what are you looking forward to?

A: Selling the dream!

Q: Describe your experience with Ovation Ireland DMC in 3 words.

A: Inspiring, rewarding, exciting

Q: What is your highlight of this year?

A: Popping to Adare Manor to catch up with a client and being told we are their partner of choice for all future programmes… It took 5 years, but I got there eventually!!
